Cancellation & Refund Policy

Booking Fee

Every appointment booked through BarberBook includes a $1.00 platform booking fee. This fee covers the cost of operating the platform, including scheduling, notifications, and payment processing. The booking fee is non-refundable once the appointment is confirmed.

Client Cancellations

More than 24 hours before appointment

  • Prepaid service fees: Eligible for full refund
  • $1 platform fee: Non-refundable
  • Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

Less than 24 hours before appointment

  • Prepaid service fees: May not be refundable (at barber's discretion)
  • $1 platform fee: Non-refundable
  • Late cancellations may be subject to the barber's individual cancellation policy.

No-Shows

  • If you do not show up for your appointment without cancelling, no refund will be issued.
  • Repeated no-shows may result in account restrictions or the requirement to prepay for future bookings.

Barber Cancellations

If a barber cancels your appointment, you will receive a full refund of all charges, including the platform booking fee. You will be notified immediately and may rebook with the same or a different barber. If you were on a waitlist for the cancelled time slot, you will be notified of the opening.

Rescheduling

Clients may reschedule appointments through the Platform at no additional charge, subject to the barber's availability. Rescheduling is treated as a cancellation of the original appointment and a new booking. The original $1 platform fee applies to the rescheduled appointment (no additional fee is charged).

Barber Subscription Refunds

Barber subscription plans (Standard, Individual, Shop Owner) are billed monthly.

  • Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through the Barber Dashboard.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • No partial refunds are issued for the remaining days in a billing cycle.
  • Features associated with the subscription tier remain available until the end of the billing period.

Message Pack Add-Ons

Purchased message pack add-ons ($10 per 100 messages) are non-refundable. Unused messages do not carry over between billing periods.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Cancel your appointment through the My Appointments page.
  2. If you are eligible for a refund based on the policy above, it will be processed automatically.
  3. For special circumstances or disputes, please contact us through our Contact page.

Refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank.

Disputes

If you believe you were charged incorrectly or have a dispute regarding a service, please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank. We will work with you and the barber to resolve the issue promptly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in account suspension.
